With his highly anticipated new street album Ten Toes Down on the horizon Big Ooh!, alongside A New Day Co-Op/5th Ave Boi'z and CertiFYD Production Group, has released the first leak "Pound Cake Freestyle". Ooh! commandeers the instrumental to Drake & Jay Z's latest collaboration in a way that only he can, waxing poetic about street life while commemorating the memories of frequent collaborators Young Farr & Jimme Wallstreet. 

BigOoh! & Wallstreet dropped the joint effort "Twin Towers" hosted by newly minted Def Jam Head of A&R DJ Don Cannon and the newest edition of The Aphilliates' DJ initiative, The Academy, Ace McClowd. Ooh! is gearing up for the release of "Ten Toes Down" in the coming months.

The MOBO Awards celebrated its 18th year of existence in style, hosting the most prestigoius showcase of artists, all of which have played key roles in continuing the legacy of 'Music Of Black Origin'.


Promoshin, being an online platform for unsigned/independent artists, presents to you a review of the nights highlights. Focusing on artists who have featured on our platform and notably demonstrated just where hardwork can get you when trying to emerge from the underground scene! Enjoy...

Glasgow was the Location and the SSE Hydro Arena was the venue, which accomodated the cream of the crop from a range of genres including; Hip Hop, R n B, Soul, Gospel, Reggae and more. The grand venue was fitting considering the remarkable achievemnts that were being celebrated. The Mobos were televised live for the time on bbc 3 and repeats can be found on BBC iPlayer.

13 Awards were presented in total with intervals of mind blowing performances from numerous headlining acts such as Tinie Tempah, Naught Boy, Laura Mvula,Iggy Azelia & So Solid Crew to name a few!

Although all 13 Award recipients were credible winners, we would like to focus on artists who can act as a real inspiration for all unsigned artists on our platform....

Best NewComer Award Winners 'Krept and Konan' (UK Based Rap Duo)


These two lyrical genius' deserve all the succes that come there way. The duo, despite being unsigned, have headlined/Trended  on social networks such as Facebook and most recently twitter! Due to their musical talent evident combined with the duos amazing constitency. Making them an obvious favourite amongst the fans and attracting attention from labels across the coutry.


Krept and Konan can boast numerous memorable pinnacles in their careers. Including reaching 1 million views on a numer of their covers/freestyles available to view on Youtube.

 This is just the beginning for the duo. With a strong management team behind them and an army of fans aka #TeamPlayDirty it is fair to say this is not the last time we'll see them stealing the show at the MOBO's.




Best African Act Winner Fuse ODG (UK Based Afrobeat Arist)
The King of Uk Afrobeats, graced the stage performing one of his many afrobeat anthems! 'Antenna'. Fuse is solely responsible for taking the genre of Afrobeats to places its never been before. It is by no suprise that the emerging artist recieved this award due to his consistent yet original material that he releases on such a reglar basis making him a unique act that fits into a category of his own. Fuse has gone viral with his 'up beat dance anthems' these include 'Azonto' ft Tiffany which put him on the map back in 2011and  most recently 'Antenna' the afrobeat track that has the whole world and on the night had Glasgow azonto'ing non stop! The producer who has the world singing 'LaLaLa', Naughty boy left with two mobo awards, the first being in recognition for his hit 'lalala' which went viral resulting in numerous artists producing covers, the most notable being Official Chip's cover.

 The captivating beat and  catchy chorus took the already renowned prduced to new hieghts with regards to radio play and chart topping. The second award for best video complemented his first award both factors concerning 'lalala' make it the biggest uk anthem of the year!

So there you have it, three artists who came up from the same route recieved fitting  recognition for there contribution to the music world.  10 other notable awards were presented on the night including the unstoppable uk artists 'tinie tempah' who won Best uk hip hop/grime award and more! An award ceremony filled with inspirational speeches, captivating performances and elegant outfits, MOBO18 ended with an epic finale. The biggest group to ever grace the uk grime scene paving the way for almost every other uk rap artist that evolved after them! Formally recognised for only having 21 seconds to go.....

'So Solid Crew' Ended the show with a mindblowing performance of their famous hit '21 seconds' Considering the calibre of  artists that graced the stage in Glasgow, I conclude their was no better way for the show to end!

October 9, 2013(New York, NY) -- Formerly signed to Jay Z's Carter Faculty & Memphis Bleek's Get Low Ent.,  The CO-D's (Geda K & H-Money Bags) & Livin Proof reunite on Livin Proof' Die For A Deal 5.0 LP.  The latest Single/Video by Livin proof, Word Life is gritty yet flashy depiction of Brooklyn NY. 

 The song features The CO-D's and was produced by Fantom Of The Beat ("Apollo Kids" - Ghostface Killah, "Magic Stick" - Lil Kim Ft. 50Cent).  Get Low was Memphis Bleeks Label, which had a huge buzz in the streets of New York City in the early to Mid 2000's.

 H Money Bags, one part of the CO-D's was featured on Memphis Bleeks "Mind Right" remix which also featured, Jay-Z & Beenie Seigal.  While the record was getting national attention H Money Bags was arrested on drug charges and was sentenced to 6-12 years.  After serving 11 years in jail he is back and reunited with long time friend and rap partner Geda K.
